Frequently Asked Questions
Answering Your Questions
Below you will find detailed information about our custom woodworking process, timelines, materials, and delivery policies.
We work predominantly with premium sustainable European hardwoods, including Walnut (Noyer), Oak (Chêne), Wild Cherry (Cerisier), and Ash (Frêne). For chalet interiors and general menuiserie, we also use high-grade softwoods like Mountain Larch (Mélèze) and Spruce (Epicéa). If you require an exotic wood, we can source it provided it carries full FSC certification verifying ethical and sustainable logging practices.
We do both. We regularly collaborate with leading architects and interior designers, executing their exact CAD blueprints and technical specifications. Alternatively, if you are a private client, our design office can develop concepts from scratch, generating 3D models and material boards for your approval before starting any workshop fabrication.
The timeline depends on the scale and complexity of the piece, as well as current workshop schedule. Typically, a custom dining table or sideboard takes between 6 to 10 weeks from deposit and design sign-off to delivery. Larger architectural agencement projects (like custom libraries or walk-in closets) can take 8 to 14 weeks. We prioritize quality and precise curing of finishes, which cannot be rushed.
Yes. While we are based in Geneva, we offer full delivery and white-glove assembly services throughout Switzerland (including Zurich, Lausanne, Zug, Gstaad, and St. Moritz). We also arrange specialized shipping and installation for international clients in neighboring European regions.
Solid wood is a natural material that responds to its environment. We recommend maintaining a relative indoor humidity of 40-60%. For our oil-finished furniture, clean with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and dust regularly. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. We provide a custom wood care kit (containing natural waxes and oils) and detailed maintenance guidelines with every project delivery.
Yes, our general woodwork team is highly skilled in replication and preservation of historical woodwork. We work carefully to replicate historical moldings, frames, and wooden cladding using matching historical species and traditional joinery to comply with Swiss preservation standards.
